Degree students

Students who join ESCOM Chimie for a full degree programme in order to be graduated with the engineer degree (diplôme d’ingénieur chimiste) have to fulfil the following validation requirements :

Applications are accepted from the 1st year of study to the 4th year.

Profiles of admission

To apply in 1st year, the student has to be graduated from secondary education with a “baccalauréat” or any other recognized secondary education degree.

For the other years of admission, the student needs to have an academic background in chemistry/chemical engineering/process engineering.

As most courses are taught in French, students whose native language is not French have to validate a B1 level.

For students applying outside Parcoursup process and applications done through Campus France process, your application will include an application review and an online interview.

ESCOM Chimie is connected to this procedure, you can identify our programme within Masters’ catalogue : Master > Diplôme d’ingénieur chimiste ESCOM et choose the year of entry (from year 1 to year 4).

You can apply directly to ESCOM Chimie before June 1rst.

  • If you apply from a country where the Campus France procedure is available, we recommend you to visit the website of the closest Campus France office*.

If you apply directly to ESCOM CHIMIE 2024-2025, please note that you will have to register to Campus France in case of admission for your visa application. For more information about visas and documents requested, please visit https://france-visas.gouv.fr/

  • If you apply from a country where the Campus France procedure is not available, you have to download the following application form and to submit directly to ESCOM Chimie.

Exchange student

To apply for an exchange – one or two semesters – you have to check first that your university has a partnership agreement with ESCOM Chimie. You can also check here the list of our partner universities.

If we don’t have a partnership yet, you can contact the office for international relations at your university to discuss this possibility.

Important : our programme in chemistry and chemical engineering is fully taught in French and requires a B1 level in French. Please note that it’s not possible to mix courses from different years and there are few elective modules. You generally have to follow the programme in place with fixed modules. You can choose an elective major in 4th year (semester 2) and in 5th year (semester 1).

Each semester allows to validate 30 ECTS.

We recommend to carry out an exchange mobility on 3rd, 4th or 5th year.

Depending on your academic project and your availabilities, you can eventually start or complete your exchange with a research traineeship.

Applying for a traineeship at ESCOM Chimie

You can apply to carry out a research traineeship in our labs under the supervision of one of our professors in chemistry or chemical engineering and processes.

From 2 to 6 months, traineeships can be done either in French or in English. Applications can be sent throughout the year. Nevertheless, we recommend to send your application at least 2 months before the traineeship starts.

Application have to be sent to Sophie Jourdain-Pasquier, Head of international relations s.jourdain@escom.fr , please indicate the lab or research activity you are interested in. Your application has to include your CV, cover letter and transcript.
